Home schooling isn’t as daunting as you think.

With a rise in home-schooling, particularly in the Gloucestershire area, educating children at home is becoming more and more of an option.

The “one size fits all” idealism of the state education system suppresses a child’s natural response to learning and work. It has become more apparent this is not fitting more and more families and more importantly, the child themselves.

“Now we need people who think creatively, innovatively, critically, independently with the ability to connect” – Prince Ea

Pulling your child from school may feel irresponsible in some ways, but it isn’t, it’s opening a door of possibilities to help support your child in becoming their own unique human being, and let’s face it, the world needs more unique human beings who can discover the world in different ways.

One of the trickiest issues with home education is social interaction. We hear more and more about how most parents/guardians send their children to school for this main reason, to then find the child is swallowed up in the pressures of SATs and GCSE’s.

6 Problems with our School System

There is an underlying question here of whether a child needs to tick any of these boxes at all to gain their place in the world.

We are working to help support the home educated child and give them the tools  to interact with and learn from others in a more natural environment.

At the moment we are expanding and developing more space where people can communicate and work together to learn from each other.
We have a range of contacts in all lines of work and training, this is growing every day, hopefully compelling more people to reach into the ever increasing and vibrant Stroud community to open doors of opportunity without a state education.

If you have any ideas, questions or wish to enrol your child in our plans please get in touch.
